Caroline Cockell is a chartered marketer and founder of Imbue Marketing, with over 15 years experience in retail, hospitality, travel and FMCG marketing. Caroline runs a marketing consultancy specialising in a practical approach to marketing and runs training courses to help people of all levels to upskill in digital and traditional marketing.

Day 1 – Digital Marketing Strategy

Course Content:

In this course, we will explore how to develop an effective digital marketing strategy. Using a tried and tested strategic model, we will walk through the step by step approach to creating your strategy. You will gain an understanding of mapping user journeys, identifying your audience, how to define your digital marketing channel mix and finally measurement.

  • Digital Strategy – what is it and why we need it
  • Understanding your audience – how to develop personas and understand the user journey
  • Digital Marketing channels overview
  • Analytics and measurement – using analytics to monitor and optimise performance
  • Development of a strategy – step by step

  • Understand the tactical uses for a variety of digital marketing channels and how they fit into your strategy

Day 2 – Practical Digital Marketing Skills

Course Content:

In this course, we will walk through a series of ‘in-house’ marketing activities and techniques that you can employ immediately to improve your online presence.

  • Digital Marketing channels overview and their tactical uses
  • Introduction to Search Engine Optimisation and what you can do to improve yours without being a tech wizard including keyword research and local SEO.
  • Content marketing planning and execution
  • FREE tools that will help you to improve your online marketing

Learning outcomes

  • Understand the tactical uses for a variety of digital marketing channels and how they fit into your strategy
  • Find out what practical techniques you can use to improve your SEO
  • Understand content marketing, how to do it and what impact it can have on your SEO and social media
  • A whole range of FREE tools that are available online that you can use immediately to improve digital marketing output and efficiency including Google Analytics reports you should be reading and how to improve campaign tracking

Cancellation by an Attendee

  • Up to 4 weeks prior to the course – you can cancel your place on the course and your prepaid fees can be transferred to another course.
  • Less than 4 weeks prior to the course – no refund, no transfer of fees to another course.

Cancellation of a Course

Unfortunately, there are times when it is necessary for us to cancel a course. We may do this up to four weeks in advance of the course, if delegate numbers are not sufficient.

If we cancel a course, we can transfer you to another course of your choice or refund you the course fee.

Please do not make non-refundable reservations for accommodation or travel to a course in advance of four weeks of the course date.
