The benefits of membership
We’re the only consortium dedicated to academic venues. For over 35 years, our members have benefitted from our specialist expertise and power of group marketing. Members pay an annual subscription for a comprehensive package which includes:

Dedicated venue page on the website: Individual venue pages allows members to feature high quality images, descriptive text, capacity and availability information, special offers and more.

Enquiries sent through a dedicated system: We undertake an extensive and comprehensive promotional campaign, which results in enquiries being generated.

Proactive enquiry and referral service: The team recently identified around £250,000 of confirmed business in one month for our members. Our new proactive approach means we will be chasing clients to win more business for our members. A new referral scheme will be introduced, along with recognition awards for members that help us keep it in the sector.

Quarterly report with key enquiry stats: You will receive regular reports on the number of views your venue page, plus a summary of the enquiries you’ve received.

Featured on the homepage and social media activity: You will be showcased on the homepage of the website at least four times per year for one week. That’s four weeks of maximum exposure to drive traffic to your venue page and encourage enquiries. To complement this we will issue a range of tweets and LinkedIn messages the week you are featured, plus additional messages throughout the year.

Media coverage - press releases and editorial: We are regularly approached by national and regional media about features specific to academic venues. This is an excellent platform for us to be the voice of the industry, helping position academic venues and their range of quality spaces and expertise within these features. Send us regular updates about your latest initiatives, investments and developments, technology and more, to help us to create relevant and valuable content.

Group marketing to targeted audiences: Benefit from a fully integrated marketing communications strategy including targeted Google Ads, SEO, PR and adverts in trade magazines, Enewsletters, trade shows and social media.

Knowledge Hub: Learn about current marketing trends and in-house research findings. You can also share best-practice, experiences and ideas in the Forum.

Educational opportunities with a 20% discount: The Learning and Development Academy is in partnership with Paje Consulting. The comprehensive programme features a range of key topics that you can choose from and provides a unique environment to network and share experiences with colleagues. Our specialist training company can also offer bespoke training to meet your individual needs.

Regional and other events for members: The 2018 conference was a huge success, with 97% of those that completed the survey rating the overall event as excellent or good. This is a superb opportunity to network with likeminded colleagues and hear from industry professionals.

Note: The membership year is from 1 April to 31 March, the cost of the annual subscription is reduced pro-rata for venue joining during the year. All venues agree to the terms of membership as detailed in the company's Articles of Association included on this page.
